GRANTS TO ORGANIZATIONS

As part of its scholarship program, the Wayne Henderson Festival, Inc. offers traditional music programs the opportunity to compete for scholarship/grants of $500 - $1,000.  Organizational applicants must be non profit  programs serving the youth of North Carolina, Virginia or Tennessee.  (Preference will be given to applicants in the immediate region including the City of Galax, Grayson, Smyth and Carroll Counties in Virginia and Ashe and Alleghany Counties in North Carolina).

Interested organizations should write a summary of their program including the following information:

Project Description (including)
    History of the Program
    Number of Children Served
    Structure of Program
    Key Artists and Organizations Involved

Program Budget
    Annual operating expenses  and expected sources of funds

Program Narratives and a copy of non profit tax determination must be received by March 1.  Notification of awards will be made March 15.
